Its not so much the brand, but whats inside for the price.

Im a system builder as well. Laptops ..well they are more limited for upgrading. Since its not like there are many motherboard options for that specific model.

Upgrading video cards in most laptops in not a realistic option. In some cases changing the same generation CPU can be done.

drives and memory are simple enough to add.

I have a 3 yr old Acer Aspire V3-771G-9875 (17inch)

I added memory to 16gb and a samsung 250gb SSD and have a 1TB storage drive

came with a Nvidia GT 650 mobile and Intel I7 3610QM (quad core)

Under $1200 for the the laptop and upgrades.

This will play about anything with lower resolution and settings. 30-60 fps on most games.

Fallout 4 and Division are also playable, but needless to say the same money spent on a desktop will yield more performance.

I use this for work and play.
